IOSH Working Safely

Course Overview

IOSH’s Working safely training course is designed for people at any level in any sector, and meets the government’s guidelines for introductory health and safety training.
Working safely is a one day training course offering jargon-free health and safety basics. The high-quality animated graphics and presentation materials make it fun and engaging.
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments can choose between IOSH’s Working Safely certificate or a credit card-sized “passport” card.

Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a grounding in the essentials of health and safety. Everyone at work should have an understanding of they must ‘work safely’

Unit NGC1 – Management of Health and Safety contains the following elements

GC2 – Controlling Workplace Hazards

  • Movement of People and Vehicles
  • Manual and Mechanical Handling – Hazards and Control
  • Working Equipment Hazards and Control
  • Electrical Hazards and Control
  • Fire Hazards and Control
  • Chemical and Biological Health Hazards and Control
  • Physical and Psychological Health Hazards and Control
  • Construction Activities Hazards and Control

GC3 – Health and Safety Practical Application

These three modules of the course are presented over 12 days with an optional revision day. Assessment is through practical and written exams. Delegates studying with EPIC regularly achieve credits and distinctions.
